Info about Hispanic Heritage Month
Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15. The dates were selected to commemorate Independence days for several individual Hispanic Countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua all celebrate their freedom on September 15th; other countries with close dates are Mexico (Sept. 16), Chile (Sept. 18), and Belize (Sept. 21). The purpose of the month long observance is to remember the ancestral heritage/culture of Hispanic American Citizens.
